what happened in The Copper Gauntlet?

- It’s the summer between first and second year. Call’s father really doesn’t want Call to return to the Magisterium.
- Havoc goes missing D:
- Call finds Havoc tied up in the basement. He’s shackled down with magic.
- Call learns of a ritual to remove evil magic. He would need a gauntlet and a heart.
- Alastair shows up and tells everyone that Call needs to be cleansed. Call knocks his father out and runs away with Havoc.
- Call runs to Arlington, where Tamara lives.
- Tamara and Aaron are both at her house for a garden party. Tamara’s parents show off Aaron’s chaos magic. A creature nearly attacks Tamara’s mother but Aaron saves her at the last moment.
- The group learns that the Alkahest was stolen from the Collegium. They think it’s the Enemy who did it.
- Tamara’s mother agrees to have Aaron and Call stay with them for the summer until school starts.
- Alex, who’s dating Kimiya, tells Call that Tamara’s parents are fake af.
- The group returns to the Magisterium for their second year.
- The group decides to research the Alkahest to learn to defend Aaron against it.
- Alastair tries to visit Call but he refuses to see him.
- Alex asks Call a bunch of questions about Kimiya.
- Master Joseph comes to Call in a dream and asks him to join him. Call refuses.
- Call asks Master Rufus how to hide people, and Master Rufus shows him how to use a magical stone to hide Aaron.
- Call tells the others he thinks his dad tried to steal the Alkahest. Tamara thinks Alastair might use it to kill Aaron, so she tells Master Rufus.
- Call’s dad goes missing.
- The Assembly thinks Alastair has the Alhakest and they intend to hunt him down.
- The group goes to find Call’s dad, along with Jasper. They reach a building where there are a bunch of people studying chaos-ridden animals. Teachers from the Magisterium are on their way, and the people agree to hide the group from them.
- The group opens the cages and frees the chaos-ridden animals. They escape.
- The group hides in a barn. They find letters from Call’s dad there that talk about a meeting between Alastair and Joseph.
- Aaron protects the group from a demon. They steal a car and follow some coordinates to an island in Maine.
- Master Rufus shows up as a projection like Obi Wan. He wants them to come back to the school, but they tell him they have a mission and hang up.
- The group gets attacked by teachers but they escape. They go to hide in a cave. Call hears noises outside and they find some chaos-ridden humans. They call Call their master so Call then has to tell his friends what has been going on. Call tells the chaos-ridden humans to take them to Master Joseph.
- The group enters a tomb by answering three questions. Here they find three preserved bodies. One is Jericho Madden, the other is Drew, a student from the first book. The final body is Constantine’s.
- Master Joseph and Alastair arrive. Alastair stabs Constantine with the Alkahest and the body starts to die.
- Master Joseph makes Stanley attack the group. Call uses chaos magic to stop him, but in doing so he also destroys the tomb. Everyone escapes, including Call after he stabs Constantine’s body again.
- The group returns to the school and is questioned by the Assembly about the events in the tomb. They tell the Assembly that Call is a Makar.
- Celia and Call kiss.
- Master Rufus tells Call that there’s a spy at school.
- Warren tells Call that the end is near.
