What happened in Catching Jordan?

• Jordan is a quarterback for the high school football team. Her father is a professional football player who probably should have retired a while ago but he can’t let go. Her brother plays football at college. So it runs in the family. However, Jordan feels like her family don’t support her dream, which is to play college football herself.
• Jordan is really good friends with the guys on the team, but she’s closest to Henry in particular. He often stays at her house and they sleep top-and-tail in her bed. Totally platonically.
• A new guy called Tyler joins the team. He’s also a quarterback player, and so Jordan feels a little threatened by him. She really fancies him though.
• Henry takes Tyler out with a couple of girls, and Jordan gets jealous.
• The coach for Alabama University shows up at one of the games. Jordan is desperate to impress him, but the Coach pulls her out halfway through the game. She’s devastated.
• Jordan offers to give Tyler a lift home but he gets shirty about it. He’s probably embarrassed because his family don’t have much money.
• Tyler confides in Jordan that his father passed away a few months ago and now he lives with his grandfather, as his mother is disabled and can’t work.
• Jordan meets Tyler’s sister, Vanessa, who is lovely. Jordan suggests that Vanessa could go shopping with her mother, as Jordan’s mother needs a shopping partner and Jordan really isn’t interested.
• Henry and Jordan have to pair up in class to raise a fake baby. They name it Jerry Rice.
• Jordan is photographed for a college calendar and she is made to dress up far fancier than usual.
• There’s a gathering at Jordan’s house and the guys bring their girlfriends – the cheerleaders. There’s a game of Truth or Dare, and Jordan jumps in the lake. Tyler goes in after her and they kiss.
• Henry checks in on Jordan to make sure she’s okay. He encourages her to get with Tyler.
• There’s a tense dinner at home and Tyler witnesses Jordan’s dad being very dismissive of her football dreams. He doesn’t say anything though.
• Jordan’s parents plan to fund Tyler’s college career.
• Mike tells Jordan that Henry fancies her, so Jordan gets all confused. She tries to kiss Henry but he turns her down. She’s even more confused now.
• Jordan tries to talk to Henry about their feelings and it’s basically a whole mess. He won’t be staying over any more.
• Jordan’s father talks to her about the college calendar and points out it’s a bit weird that they only wanted her to dress up and look nice. He tries to tell her that the colleges won’t respect her.
• Jordan goes on a tour of the Alabama campus and the guys on the team are gross and the coach is not interested at all. Jordan is understandable upset.
• Jordan’s father takes her to Michigan, where the coach and the players are much more respectful. Jordan decides she wouldn’t mind going to college there instead.
• Jordan’s father comes to watch a game, and Jordan unfortunately hurts her knee. Henry goes with her and her family to the ER. Tyler is a bit hopeless.
• Thankfully Jordan only sprained her knee and didn’t tear anything, so there’s no permanent damage.
• Jordan breaks up with Tyler and gets with Henry.
