What happened in The It Girl?

  • Jenny Humphrey has been kicked out of her school in NYC and is now heading to Waverley Academy. She’s hoping to reinvent herself there.
  • On the way up to the school, Jenny gets a lift with a schoolmate called Heath and his dad.
  • Callie and Brett are roommates. They used to be roommates with a girl called Tinsley too, but Tinsley was kicked out last year.
  • Waverley thought Jennifer Humphrey was a boy (these poshos…) so they originally put her in the boys’ dorms. While she’s hanging about waiting to be placed in a girl’s dorm, she meets Brandon. Heath is also there.
  • Jenny is placed in a room with Callie and Brett. Both are a bit standoffish.
  • Callie is having problems with her boyfriend, Easy. She told him she loved him in Barcelona but he didn’t say it back and has been being weird ever since.
  • Brett is with a guy called Jeremiah, but she likes the new teacher, Eric Dalton.
  • Jenny goes to a party and Heath “takes her to church”. He passes out before he can do much though, thankfully, and Jenny returns to her room.
  • Callie and Easy are about to hook up in the room… with Jenny present. Callie goes off for a bit and then the dorm matron walks in on Easy and Jenny. Easy is sat on Jenny’s bed in his underwear so it looks sus. There’s going to be an official hearing about this.
  • Callie starts bribing Jenny, because if the committee finds out that Easy was there to see Callie, Callie could get kicked out. Callie assures Jenny that it’ll just be her first offense, so Callie wants Jenny to cover for her.
  • Jenny joins the field hockey team.
  • Easy and Jenny are kind of hitting it off. It’s a bit confusing as to whether Callie and Easy are still together.
  • Brett also gets closer to Eric Dalton.
  • The cheerleading team asks Callie to write a cheer for Jenny to do. They don’t like Jenny because of all the rumours flying around. They think she hooked up with Heath, and also an entire band back in NYC. Not that it would matter to them if she had…
  • Jenny performs the cheer, and it’s clearly inappropriate. She pulls it off though and everyone loves it.
  • There’s a party for Black Saturday. There’s a kissing game, and Jenny pecks Heath on the lips. Callie and Heath full on get it on. Jenny talks to Easy and has a really nice time. She continues to be friendly with Brandon too.
  • Brett hooks up with Eric Dalton. Callie learns what has been going on from Brett’s sister Bree. It also sounds like Brett isn’t really from where she says she is. Is she lying about something?
  • The committee holds its hearing and Easy takes all the blame. Because it was his fault. They put him on probation and Jenny gets to stay at Waverley.
  • Jenny, Brett, and Callie get the news that Tinsley is coming back and will be sharing their room. We still don’t know why she was kicked out.
