What happened in Evermore?
- Ever is a high school student who has lost her entire family. She died in an accident but was able to come back to life. She gained psychic powers somehow and is now affected by people touching her. She can also see auras.
- Damen is a new student at school. Everyone fancies him, of course.
- Haven, one of Ever’s friends, calls dibs on Damen. Miles tries to cause an accident to get Damen to notice them.
- Ever notices that Damen has no aura.
- Ever lives with her aunt Sabine. She is able to speak to her dead sister, Riley.
- Haven continues to persue Damen and it’s really weird.
- Damen touches Ever’s hand, and all the background noise she has been hearing immediately stops.
- Damen joins the group for lunch. He quickly catches a water bottle and Ever wonders how he was able to do that.
- Ever is getting ready for dinner with Sabine when Riley shows up and starts having a go at her. The sisters argue.
- After dinner, Ever bumps into Damen again. He seems to be on a date with a red headed girl. Damen gives Ever a tulip. Ever can’t see an aura around the red head either.
- Ever wakes up and sees Damen looking around her room, but she assumes she’s dreaming. Creepy.
- Damen tells Ever that he doesn’t live with his family any more as he’s emancipated. Ever tells him her family are dead.
- Damen leaves Ever a tulip and tells her his family are dead too.
- Riley teases Ever about her crush, which Ever obviously denies.
- Damen sits with Stacia at lunch that day.
- Sabine and Ever host a Halloween party. Riley helps decorate and tells Ever how sad she is about being dead.
- Damen arrives at the party. He and Ever kiss.
- There’s a psychic at the party who can see Riley. Ever asks her about her own powers and says she wants Riley to move on.
- Haven tells Damen and Ever that she’s leaving with Drina, the red head from before.
- Damen doesn’t come to lunch the following Monday but he does call Ever that evening. Ever doesn’t want to meet up with him as it’s getting late.
- Haven clearly admires Drina and starts copying her, which gets on Ever’s nerves.
- Damen takes Ever to Disneyland. It’s a great day, but it’s slightly ruined on the way home when Haven calls and says her friend Evangeline has gone missing.
- Ever and Riley argue again.
- Ever bumps into Stacia at school, who threatens her.
- Damen tells Ever he has magic abilities.
- Haven tells Ever and Miles they’re terrible friends to her.
- Ever and Damen go to bet on horses.
- Sabine goes away for a weekend trip with a guy called Jeff. Ever, now left alone, heads to the beach with Damen. Damen shows her a secret cave and the two start making out. They fall asleep.
- Ever wakes up and finds a note from Damen saying her went surfing. She can’t see him so she heads home.
- Haven stops by and tells Ever that Evangeline is dead. Damen shows up and asks Haven about her new snake tattoo. Haven becomes angry and leaves.
- Damen spends the night at Ever’s, mostly, except he vanishes and reappears in the middle of the night. Weird.
- Ever asks Riley to help her figure out what the heck is going on. Riley has been spying on Damen a bit and is creeped out. She shows Ever where Damen lives.
- Ever heads over there and finds old paintings of Damen that were clearly painted centuries ago. Ever hears a noise and goes to investigate. She finds Damen kneeling over Haven, who is bleeding.
- Damen knocks Ever out, because that’s healthy.
- Ever wakes up in her own bed. She heads to school. Haven isn’t there, but everyone else is.
- Haven comes to school the following day and claims she had the flu.
- Ever asks Damen what the heck is going on but Damen pretends not to know anything. She starts to ignore him and Damen puts the other students and teachers to sleep in order to get her to listen to him.
- Ever runs off, now thoroughly creeped out.
- Damen admits that he is an immortal. He was sucking an infection out of Haven’s tattoo.
- Ever, Miles, and Haven go to a festival. Haven spikes their drinks with alcohol. Ever’s abilities are numbed.
- Ever wakes up and finds a feather on her pillow. She also finds a painting of a blonde girl.
- Miles tells Ever about another party that he and Haven know about. It’s in the canyon. Ever heads over.
- Drina takes Ever’s phone and threatens to kill her. Ever fights her.
- Ever is able to switch dimensions and finds Damen in Summerland. Damen tells Ever she’s an immortal too.
- Damen shares that his father was into alchemy, and when he died Damen continued working on some projects. He made himself immortal, and met Drina when she was dying of an illness. Damen made her immortal too, and then married her.
- Damen admits he was miserable for centuries, but then he met Ever. Ever has been dying over and over again because Drina keeps killing her. Ever, being immortal, keeps being reincarnated.
- Riley convinces Ever to go and see Ava and get help. Ava blocks Ever’s ability.
- Riley continues to visit Ever, although Ever is meant to be telling her to move on.
- Damen gives Ever a lollipop for Valentine’s Day.
- Ever chooses to be with Damen… except Drina shows up and ruins everything. Drina admits she killed Ever’s family (as though that’s a shock) and the two of them fight. Ever hits Drina in the chest and kills her. Damen sees Drina die, and he and Ever make up.
