What happened in Hades?
- Beth and Xavier are planning out their future together, despite only being high school seniors.
- Anyway, there’s a Halloween party happening soon. Beth doesn’t particularly want to go as it’s not God’s will. Xavier and her friends convince her to go, though, and Beth dresses as an angel.
- At the party Xavier and the other jocks run down to the lake together.
- Beth participates in a seance, although she doesn’t think this is a good idea either. Abby ignores her and gets the Ouija board out.
- The group manage to speak to Taylah’s spirit. Molly freaks out and breaks the circle, which releases the spirits.
- One of the jocks returns and says Xavier hit his head on the rocks in the lake. Beth heads down to the lake and tries to rush over to help him. However, she’s trapped on a bike by Jake, who’s back from the underworld.
- Jake knocks Xavier out and takes Beth to hell.
- Jake takes Beth to a hotel called Ambrosia, which he owns/rules. He gives her a Hitler Youth maid called Hanna.
- Beth meets a hillbilly guy named Tucker and starts planning her escape with him. Tucker takes Beth to a river that will let her astral project back to earth.
- Beth astral projects to visit her family. She can see they’re doing ok.
- Beth tells Jake that Tucker will be giving her a tour of hell. Jake sends a demon called Asia to accompany them. Asia agrees to help to find a portal back to Earth so Beth will go away.
- The group finds a portal but they don’t get a chance to use it because hellhounds find them. Taylah finds them and saves them by sacrificing herself.
- The group return to the Ambrosia hotel.
- Back on Earth, Gabe and co. are trying to find a way to save Beth. Michael gives Molly a clue, and they all set off to find a Sister Mary Clare at a convent in Tennessee.
- They reach the convent and find Sister Mary Clare possessed by a demon. The demon tells them about hell portals and then they manage to perform an exorcism to rid Sister Mary Clare of the demon.
- The people of hell end up looking up to Beth, which is nice. Lucifer starts to hear about Beth and approaches her to talk about his plans for war. Lucifer decides that Beth is too inspiring, and wants to have her burned at the stake.
- Jake tries to save Beth because he doesn’t want her to die, but he’s useless. Beth doesn’t die though because hellfire can’t affect her. Instead she is put into a cage. The demons don’t know she can astral project freely when she has some alone time.
- Jake frees Beth from the cage. He tells her people on Earth have moved on but obviously Beth knows that’s a lie. Jake realises that Beth is still in love with Xavier and sends a demon to tell Xavier that Beth is dead.
- Gabe and Ivy tell Xavier that Beth is still alive. Xavier is super relieved and goes for a drive by himself. Beth uses the radio to communicate with him. She warns him that Jake is on his way and he needs to get to safety.
- Jake takes control of Xavier’s car and sends it off a cliff. Beth begs him to let Xavier live in exchange for granting a wish.
- Gabe and Ivy freeze time in order to save Xavier.
- They all head to Alabama to find the hell portal.
- Jake wishes to sleep with Bethany. Bethany is trying to go through with it (to grant the wish) but panics because Jake is gross.
- Gabe, Ivy, and Xavier arrive, along with Michael’s sword, in order to help. Gabe kills Jake with the sword.
- Some time later, Beth and Xavier are graduating. Xavier wants to skip the ceremony. They both head to the oak tree, where Xavier proposes. They’re celebrating in Sweethearts when the world starts to shake. Xavier drops the engagement ring.
