What happened in Living Dead in Dallas?
- Andy is super drunk at the bar, so Sookie rings his sister to come and pick him up. He leaves his car behind.
- Sookie heads to work the following day and thinks it’s weird that Andy hasn’t picked his car up yet. She notices the car door is slightly ajar so she goes to close it, but she gets a bit of a shock when she finds Lafayette dead inside.
- Sookie calls the police and they shut down the bar. It seems they suspect Andy.
- Bill takes Sookie to see Eric, who apparently has a job for them. On the way to Fangtasia, Bill’s car breaks down. Sookie is angry with Bill and is fully prepared to walk home.
- In the woods on her way home, Sookie comes across a woman covered in blood. She’s apparently a maenad and she tries to claw at Sookie.
- The maenad tells Sookie to tell Eric (not sure why she’s gone to Sookie but whatever) that the maenad expects tribute.
- Sookie, now injured, heads back to the broken down car. Bill seems to have fixed it and the pair continue to Fangtasia.
- The vampires at Fangtasia help out by removing the maenad poison from Sookie’s wounds.
- Eric has promised the Dallas vampires that Sookie will help them.
- Sookie returns to work after this ordeal and warns Sam about the maenad and everything that has been going on. She doesn’t want him going into the woods, except Sam is a werewolf so he kind of has to go.
- Sookie heads to Dallas. After she has landed, she has to wait for Bill to arrive literally in his coffin. A priest gives his condolences before trying to kidnap her. Thankfully Bill raises from his coffin and saves Sookie before she can be abducted.
- Sookie bonds a little with the bell hop at their hotel because he seems to have similar powers to her.
- Stan, the leader of the Dallas vampires, tells Sookie and Bill (Bookie?) that one of their vampires is missing and he wants them to investigate.
- While Sookie is looking into the disappearance at a local bar (because apparently these people don’t visit any other type of venue), Eric arrives. He’s there to watch out for her.
- Sookie discovers that the bar is bugged.
- Sookie asks around some more and she thinks that the missing vampire could have been taken by some vampire haters that call themselves the Fellowship of the Sun.
- Sookie investigates the Fellowship by infiltrating their ranks. She starts reading their minds to figure it all out.
- Hugo, a human who is with a vampire called Isabel, helps her out. They get a tour of the church and the basement. While down there, Sookie and Hugo get locked in a separate room.
- Turns out that Hugo is dodge and he’s the one who planted the bug at the bar. He’s released and replaced by a gross vampire called Glen. He tries to assault Sookie but someone called Godfrey rescues her.
- Godfrey and a shifter called Luna help Sookie escape. Apparently shifters have been looking into the horrible church too.
- Sarah, the wife of the church leader, tries to stop them from leaving by bashing into their car. There are a lot of people outside though, so Sarah can’t really do much.
- Sookie goes to hospital and is treated by a shifter from Luna’s pack.
- Eric escorts Sookie back to her hotel room. Bill shows up and makes Eric leave.
- Sookie and Bill (seriously… Bookie) go to speak to the Dallas vamps and Stan. They’re happy that their vampire friend has been found, and Stan shares how he plans to punish Isabel and Hugo for their betrayal.
- There’s a big welcome home party but it’s quickly crashed by the church members. They surround the building and start shooting. Eric gets shot with a silver bullet while protecting Sookie, who has to suck the bullet out to help him heal. It’s a bit grim.
- Bill kills a bunch of the church members. Sookie is annoyed that he was focusing on killing them instead of protecting her.
- Sookie heads home and chats with her brother, Jason. He tells her about the sex parties that have been going on in town. It’s all very kinky.
- Sookie goes to a local school football game with her friends. She greets her ex by kissing his cheek. Bill is also there with Portia. Bill and Sookie head home together and make up after their arguments.
- Sookie is invited to one of the sex parties by Mike, the local funeral director. Nice.
- Bill leaves a message with Sookie telling her he has returned to Dallas.
- Sookie asks Eric to go to the sex party with her, but he is to pretend he’s human and also gay.
- Sookie’s friends Tara and Eggs are at the party too. Sookie spends some time listening to people’s thoughts and finds out that Mike and a few others are the ones who killed Lafayette.
- Eric and Sookie pretend to get it on outside by the car. She fills him in on what’s going on.
- Andy shows up at the party and demands answers – he is obviously not happy about being a suspect for a murder he didn’t commit.
- Portia was also there, watching from the bushes like some creep… but she’s actually trying to prove her brother’s innocence by investigating the party.
- Sam and Bill both show up. I’m not sure if it’s helpful or not.
- The maenad from earlier shows up and starts murdering everyone. When she’s done it’s revealed that she has been sleeping with Sam.
- Tara’s memory of the night is wiped.
- Eric and Bill burn the party house down.
- Lafayette’s wallet and blood are discovered in Mike’s car.
- Bill brings a very tired Sookie a newspaper and a cake that Carolina Bellefleur baked her. Bill learns that he’s related to the Bellfleur family, and he’s their great something grandad. Well.
- Bill decides he should give them some money.
