What happened in From Dead to Worse?
-The Bellefleurs are having a double wedding and Sookie is asked to stand in as a bridesmaid. Sookie agrees and the ceremondy goes well. Sookie then has to work at the bar that night.
- Bill comes up to tell Sookie her loves her. Sigh.
- Selah overhears this and is unimpressed.
- Tanya asks Sam if he has any work going. Sam asks Sookie why she doesn’t like Tanya.
- Sookie tells Sam that she hasn’t seen Quinn in a while, since she was in Rhodes.
- A vampire called Jonathan introduces himself to Sookie. He came from Nevada to see her.
- At home, Amelia’s dad Copely comes to see her. Copely tells Sookie that her cousin Hadley has had a baby with someone called Remy Savoy.
- Sookie tells Eric that Jonathan has been looking around but Eric claims not to know anything about it. Eric asks Sookie to come to Shreveport. He introduces her to Niall, a fairy prince who is Sookie’s grandfather.
- Niall wants to get to know Sookie, and admits to being the one to have sent Claudine to look out for her.
- Eric drives Sookie back to Bon Temps and they’re pulled over by a were who tries to shoot Sookie. He misses, but he gets Eric in the neck. Eric kills the were. Then Eric kisses Sookie, which is probably adrenaline.
- Sookie tells Amelia what happened when she finally gets home. Amelia tells Sookie that she has a couple of missed calls, one from Alcide and the other from Tanya.
- Octavia, Amelia’s mentor, arrives at the house. While she and Amelia are talking Alcide calls about Maria-Star, who has been killed, and Alcide convinces Sookie to check out the murder scene with Amelia.
- Amelia, Octavia, and Sookie head to Maria-Star’s apartment. They investigate and find that two weres were the murderers.
- Sookie goes to work at the bar. Some FotS men show up. Pam and Amelia go on a date and this annoys the FotS guys.
- Sookie calls Eric before she goes to sleep to fill him in.
- Sookie is at the library when a man comes in and threatens the librarian there. Alcee defends his wife and the man tries to attack Sookie.
- Sookie calls Patrick Fernin to demand to know why he’s trying to kill her. He says he’s not. Actually, women from his pack have been going missing, including his wife.
- Sam, Alcide, and Sookie meet with Fernin to see what’s going on. They need to find out who is behind these attacks.
- It seems that the New Orleans pack are behind the killings. Sam and Claudine protect Sookie when a fight breaks out. Fernin dies and Alcide becomes pack leader.
- Tanya talks to Sam in his office and when the two of them come out, they both seem quite annoyed.
- Sookie asks Eric if he knows any more about Jonathan, which he doesn’t.
- Pam starts calling people up to check on them and one person doesn’t answer. Pam heads off to check in on them.
- Frannie shows up and tells Sookie and Bill that the Nevada vamps are on their way to Louisiana. They plan to take over. Apparently they’ve been keeping Frannie and Quinn prisoner.
- Eric shows up, and Victor Madden has also followed. Amelia allows Victor into the house, but none of the other vamps. Victor tells Eric and Bill that the queen has died.
- Sookie tries to call Niall but Eric stops her so she doesn’t start a war.
- The Louisiana vampires now need to serve their new king.
- Eric reveals he remembers everything from when he was under that spell a couple of books ago.
- Sookie awakens to find Quinn in her room. She breaks up with him because he seems to have other priorities.
- Sookie agrees to put a good word in for Amelia’s father with the vamps.
- Arlene thinks about how her new boyfriend wants to kill all the vampires. Sookie also finds out that Tanya is working for Sandra Pelt.
- Sookie’s fae cousins, Claudine and Claude, tell Sookie to call Niall and explain what’s going on.
- Calvin brings Tanya to Sookie’s house so Amelia and Octavia can performa spell to make her leave Sookie alone.
- Selah breaks up with Bill and Bill tells Sookie this. Sookie is unimpressed.
- Sookie heads over to check on Crystal and she finds her sleeping with Dove Beck. Crystal and Jason go through a were trial, and Crystal is found guilty. Her uncle Calvin has to take her punishment because she is pregnant. Sookie has to perform the punishment because Jason doesn’t want to. Sookie smashs Calvin’s hand.
- Eric waits for Sookie to finish work and the new king, Felipe, shows up.
- Sigebert tries to kill Eric and Felipe so Sookie runs him over with her car.
- Dawson tells Sookie he’s interested in Amelia.
- Octavia manages to turn Bob back into a human and he sets off back to New Orleans.
- Eric and Pam explain that Felipe now owes Sookie, which is a Big Deal.
- Sookie asks Niall to find Remy so that she can meet her cousin’s child. He does so, and Sookie is able to meet Hunter, who is Hadley and Remy’s son. Hunter is a telepath too.
