- There are more dance lessons, and then Gwen goes back to 1956. She meets with Lucas and tells everyone she is his cousin. They head to a cafe to talk.
- Lucas tells Gwen that she could use the chronograph to go further back in time. Lucas says he sent Lucy and Paul to 1602 to watch Hamlet, and they came back and told him about the murder.

- Lesley breaks a code written in The Green Rider. They don’t know what the code means, though.
- Gideon tells Gwen that he thinks she hit him on the head and knocked him out. It’s probably a time travel thing.

- Gwen goes back in time to the day before the soiree to meet with the Count. The Count seems very happy that Gwen and Gideon are into each other. The Count congratulates Gideon, and Gwen asks what the hell he’s talking about.
- Gideon and Gwen head back to the present. Gideon pretends he’s not in love with her, but he did trick her. Gwen storms off.
- Paul meets with Lord Alastair, and the two exchange information. Alastair gives Paul the Count’s papers, and Paul is meant to give Alastair information on the family trees of the time travellers. Except Alastair hasn’t kept up his end of the bargain, adn there’s a fight. Paul is badly injured.
- Gideon shows up and saves Paul, but the documents are lost.
- Paul tells Gideon to read the Count’s documents and to keep the circle from being closed so Gwen can live.
